SERVICE

Let us help your pet live its best life through compassionate veterinary care. Learn more about our services below.

Wellness & Prevention

Pets cannot tell us how they feel. Our wellness exams take a preventative approach in helping your pet stay healthy and enjoy a quality life. We recommend regular exams for your pet, which include nose-to-tail evaluations and age-appropriate wellness assessments.

Why should you vaccinate your pet? Vaccinations are very important for young pets when their immune systems are still developing. Vaccines protect against many viral and bacterial infections in pets. Our vets provide vaccination education and discuss our vaccine schedule, which helps to keep your pet healthy.

Do you have a new puppy or kitten? Congratulations! Once settled, it’s a good idea to schedule an initial exam for your new family member to learn the basics and to make sure your new pet gets off to a healthy start! We can discuss spaying or neutering, microchipping, and how to make sure your new friend gets all the vitamins and minerals they need.

Is your pet experiencing bad breath or excessive drooling? Just like humans, pets need regular dental care and cleanings. Dental disease is the most common medical problem seen in pets and can lead to pain, tooth loss, and generalized disease. Our experienced veterinary dentists offer routine dental care including exams, dental scaling, teeth cleaning, tooth extraction and more.

Our doctors and staff are here to help you make informed nutrition choices for your pet. From picking a brand, to what ingredients your pet needs, to how much to feed — we are here to help. We offer assistance with special dietary needs, weight loss or gain, age-related nutrition, and nutrition for managing various medical conditions. Our nutritional counseling services can help you accomplish your goals and keep your pet in good health.

Flea, tick, heartworm, and other parasite prevention is a year-round job and necessary for keeping your pet safe and healthy. Many parasites cause serious illness or even death if left untreated. Some pet owners are not even aware when their pet is infected, which is why prevention is so important.

Should I microchip my pet? Every year thousands of pets go missing. Even the most responsible pet owners experience broken leashes, escape artists, and thefts. Microchipping is a safe, effective, and permanent way to identify your pet in the event they get lost or stolen.

As pets enter their senior years and final stages of life, they require specialized care and age-specific testing to stay healthy and extend longevity. As your pet ages, our vets can help you identify early warning signs and take the necessary precautions to keep your senior pet healthy and happy.

Surgical Procedure

Spaying or neutering your pet is an important decision for pet owners. Removal of the male or female reproductive organs prevents unwanted pregnancies and reproductive cancers from threatening your pet’s life. Our animal clinic offers this routine procedure as part of your pet’s preventative wellness care.

We perform soft tissue and hard tissue surgery. Soft tissue operations such as opening the stomach (gastrotomy) or opening the intestines (enterotomy) in cases of animals that have eaten foreign objects and the foreign objects cannot come out except by surgery. Surgery to open the bladder (cystotomy) in cases of kidney stones. Hard tissue surgery such as in cases of fractures or hip dysplasia.

We take anesthesia cases very seriously and utilize a safe, multi-modal approach for each animal we treat. We use a combination of pre-op assessments, modern anesthetic agents, and the latest anesthetic monitoring equipment to keep your pet safe and the risks of surgery low. Our recovering pet patients have fewer side effects, complete pain relief, and faster postoperative recovery.

Family pets need regular dental checkups to ensure good oral health. But even with good oral hygiene and regular cleanings, your pet may require a dental extraction as they age. If your pet needs dental surgery or dental cleaning, we administer anesthesia to allow for comprehensive access to the teeth, gums, and oral tissues. Anesthesia makes it possible to perform dental procedures with less stress and pain for your pet.

Specialized Care

Do you need advice regarding the redirection of unwanted behaviors such as excessive barking, chewing, spraying, scratching, digging, house soiling, or aggression? We offer solutions for a variety of behavioral issues that pet owners face. Behavioral problems can be challenging and frustrating for both pets and pet owners. It is our goal to work with you towards a solution.

When it comes to orthopedic care, prevention, detection, and treatment of injuries or disorders of the skeletal system and associated muscles, joints, and ligaments are an important and vital part of keeping your pet up, running, and healthy. In addition to a thorough physical exam, we use laboratory tests and radiological findings to determine the cause of your pet’s pain and/or the extent of their injury or illness.

Physical rehabilitation is often prescribed for arthritis, mobility limitations, degenerative neurological conditions and/or orthopedic surgical recovery. Depending on the condition, exercises are performed to increase range of motion, improve balance, and overall muscle strength. Pain reduction is an important part of rehab and is managed through a variety of modalities.

Our doctors work with you to determine the cause of pain and teach you how to recognize pain in your pet. Acute or chronic pain affects your pet’s ability to physically function and can also have a detrimental effect on their well-being and state-of-mind. Pain management is one of our primary considerations when treating a pet for any medical condition.

Pet Testing & Diagnostics

Annual veterinary blood tests help us determine a normal baseline for your pet. Trending these results over time allows us to diagnose problems early, increasing the likelihood of timely intervention and recovery. Lab testing can also reveal the presence of certain illnesses or diseases and rule others out.

Our veterinary radiologists are able to produce high-quality diagnostic images of your pet’s tissues, organs, and bones. X-rays help us look for arthritis, broken bones, foreign objects, dental issues, enlarged organs, or respiratory dysfunction.

Using sound waves, ultrasound technology allows us to generate images of your pet’s internal body structures, such as muscles, tendons, joints, internal organs, and blood vessels. Veterinary ultrasound images are often ordered alongside x-rays, to get a more complete picture of your pet’s health.
